Stoney Middleton Parish Clerk Vacancy

Stoney Middleton Parish Council (SMPC) wishes to appoint a Parish Clerk to work alongside the Responsible Financial Officer. SMPC is a proactive council with 7 councillors working on behalf of the community.

This is a part-time post; 20 hours per month, mainly working from home.

Attendance is required at 10 evening meetings per year, usually on the first Monday of each month. There are no meetings in January and August.

The salary is per the LC2 Scale; Spinal Column Points 18 – 23, starting at £12.98 plus an allowance for home working. A laptop will be provided and a mobile ‘phone allowance will be made.

SMPC is ideally looking for someone with previous experience in this kind of role, with drive and enthusiasm, and a real interest in serving and being involved in the local community. Add to this excellent administration, IT, and written and verbal communication skills and you could be the person SMPC is looking for.

SMPC will support a suitable candidate in meeting necessary training requirements. Ideally, the candidate will hold a Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to work towards this qualification.
