Litter Picking Pink Bags

In the last year you may have noticed pink bin bags appearing across the District.

These are from local residents who while on their regular walks want to pick up the litter and help keep their environment clean.

The bags are supplied by the Derbyshire Dales District Council (DDDC) are pink in colour to distinguish them from fly tipping. Many of the bags are left by litter bins but where there are no bins nearby the litter pickers leave them in a safe place and report the location for collection.

DDDC aim to pick up the bags by the next working day after they have been reported.

If you want to order a Pink Bag please contact Emma Mortimer, Community Development Officer on 01629 761392 - Emma.Mortimer@derbyshiredales.gov.uk
