I hope this message finds you well. The Parish Council are planning to start a Community Speedwatch scheme in the Spring with the Police if we get enough people to participate in it. This programme is designed to enhance road safety in our neighbourhood by addressing the issue of speeding vehicles through the village.
The success of this initiative relies heavily on the active participation and support of some local residents. We are seeking volunteers who are willing to dedicate a small amount of their time to help monitor vehicle speeds in our area. Your involvement will make a significant difference in promoting safer roads for everyone. We have two people signed up already but we need another 3-4 to make it viable.
By joining this Derbyshire Community Speedwatch, you will be playing a crucial role in making our community a safer place. No prior experience is necessary, as full training and equipment will be provided. Your commitment can be as flexible as you need it to be.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about the scheme, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Your support and involvement are greatly appreciated and will contribute to the overall safety and well-being of our community. Some information on below link:
Thank you for your attention and consideration. Together, we can make a positive impact.
Kind regards
Carol Duncan
Clerk to Stoney Middleton Parish Council
